Students Should Do HomeworkHomework can be a useful tool when you don't want to go into the school library and get it in front of the teacher. You can save the paper, a lot of the time, and most of the energy you use to do it, by doing it in the comfort of your own home. But there are some students who have a real problem with doing homework and they become too upset at the whole process.When I was in elementary school, my class did not take out of school time for any extra lessons. For every subject that came up on tests, we did nothing else but do the math homework that was provided for us. At the time, I thought this was great, because we didn't have a lot of time to worry about how to learn new subjects, but later, as I got older, I discovered that this method of teaching taught me one very important lesson.Doing the hardest subject first was the worst thing you could do. This pattern eventually led to a serious lack of sleep, which didn't help the student any more than it helped me.My school teacher later informed me that the student who insisted on doing his homework first actually hurt himself. He put more pressure on himself because he was afraid of making mistakes, so he spent more time doing something he felt was not necessary. This habit was also damaging to other students, because it distracted them from learning the material better, so they were left confused about what they had just learned.Our society is the fastest growing in history, and a lot of this growth comes from our schools. As more kids come into the classroom each day, it is important that they learn the skills necessary to succeed in life. In today's society, there is a lot of pressure put on kids, and this pressure can sometimes lead to unhealthy habits, such as doing homework.I suggest that all of our students do some homework at least once a week, whether they like it or not. I also recommend that they write a report on whatever subject they feel they know best and add it to their course work. By doing this, you are really putting yourself in a position where you will be learning something and also being given something tangible to look at while you are studying.Doing homework in the real world is a great way to make it easier for you to study and is also a great way to keep your brain active. If your teacher gave you a grade before you left for the day, it is a good idea to do it after you leave as well.
